Journals

I was going through my CD collection when I came across my journals. I pulled out one that's covered in denim, flipped it open and began reading random entries. The feelings I experienced when I was making those entries came back instantly.

The journal was kept for last year. How weird that so much has changed in a short span of time. I smiled at fond memories, felt a little sad at lost friendships, but generally celebrated the life I led for 2002. There were pictures of then-close friends followed by my thoughts on them. There were movie stubs, and stubs for guest DJ sets at Centro/Zouk. There were poems and song lyrics. But mostly it contained thoughts, feelings and emotions that I'd poured into my silent confidante.

I wish I could tell you what was written in there. But I think the only person who'll ever have access to these journals will be Josephine. In part, it's to let her know what I went through and how much I struggled. In part to let her know that her lucky star (that's what she calls me) thought about her constantly.

In a reflective mood now.

I'll end with this: dream a little dream of me...
